Board for DDR3 RAM

I'm looking to move up to DDR3 memory and I'd like some suggestions for a good motherboard that can run my Core 2 Extreme QX6850 plus able to run Crossfire. I'm trying to put together a system that can pull double duty for work and some pretty heavy gaming when time permits. I'm planning on replacing my pair of 3870 video cards with a pair of 4870's. Currently I have my CPU running at 3.6GHz which seems to be plenty though it would probably go higher if I really wanted but since it's stable on an Abit IX38 Quad GT I've left it sit on that speed. The older parts I plan on putting a decent system together for my parents since I have everything but a CPU. I figure dropping an E6850 on the Abit board would give them a much better system then the old AMD Athlon 2800 that they have now.

I have a pretty decent budget to work with and I know that Asus is probably a good bet but there must be some other options...

Thanks in advance for your help

Hey, Welcome to the Anandtech Forums! 🙂

I picked up a pair of Super Talent DDR3 2x2Gb modules W1600X4G7 and have then running 1.8v 6.6.6.18 1N (1T) at 800 speed 1:1 Also had then running 7.7.7.21 1N at 1600 speed 1:2 as for a board this looks like to be what you are looking for.
