Everyone should care because this case could prove to be unique from any other high-profile murder case. This could have been done through the government chains or as an order from a politician. It could change a lot if so.

chandra levy was a fine lookin young lady...too bad she was killed....may her wronged soul not rest in peace till the killer is found.hope there is still some good forensic evidence left behind.
 
I care. Always nice to get a murderer off the street. If it is her maybe the crime will be solved. If she was murdered that is.
 
This is obviously a story of national interest, because people are interested in scandal. I do not believe there is any genuine chance that our tax dollars subsidized the murder of Chandra Levy, though there is at least some chance that Gary Condit was involved in some way. We shall see . . .

Ramsey said that the officers on the scene had not yet determined if the remains are those of a man or a woman, or from an adult or a child. But the sources, who spoke with NBC News on condition of anonymity, said they appeared to be those of an adult female.

I think there's a similarity in the media's handling of the two cases. They play up the Condit angle because it sounds good, and people keep watching. Tabloid journalism at it's finest. When the National Enquirer and CBS news are selling the same stories to the same audience, something is wrong.

One thing I don't get - "The remains were discovered in an area that was repeatedly searched last summer in the wake of her disappearance."

Were the remains dumped there after the investigation cooled down?

That would be my guess. But then again, MSNBC said that eyewitnesses reported the Police cadets weren't searching every square yard, they were lucky to do every 10 square yards.

 
I guess they are hers. Maybe she went for one last jog and got knocked off along the way, maybe a sexual assault or something. Is it possible Condit had nothing to do with it??
