Very cool and interesting tech display.

*awaits BMW and Bangle bashers...

Damn't...Bangle has ruined all BMW's for all the pricks that drive them....you could sell turd if it had a BMW logo on it...

Well now that it is out of the way...my serious comment is that I think the idea is awesome. Security would be a slight issue...although you could create "lock boxes" inside the car/trunk to make them more secure. I love the idea of the cars appearance moving. Really like where they are going with this. Can I get mine with Multiple layers of Kevlar in case I want to take a lazy Sunday drive through downtown Detroit?

Wouldn't it just take a single delinquent with a semi-sharp object to de-skin your entire car?

A kevlar/carbon fibre blend may be more resilient, but the same miscreant can mess up a paint job just as quick.

Instering idea, not sure it will ever be of use. Just imagine what the wind while driving would do. And how much to have it replaced? The stronger and more durable you make it, the more it would cost to replace. Adding Kevlar or carbon fiber would just increase it more. you may as well make a regular carbon fiber body.

It's worked for years on many light aircraft/microlight wings without issue.

Come on, I'm the only one who thinks the name, combined with it being clothed in Spandex, is funny??

It could only be funnier if it were made by VAG.

I thought that the thread subject was a joke before I clicked on it. I was expecting a camel toe wrapped in spandex or something along the lines of that.
