at least the taillights on the sedan don't look like ass as they did on the previous 3 series. coupe to come next year i assume.

Or you could just look at it as them skipping right to the retro phase. Ford borked up the mustang. What did they do? Retro. Right back to the styling cues of the iconic 60s. Dodge too and chevy as well. I like the look of the new 3 series and 5 series. Im all for once you get it right don't mess with it.

E39 M5 gets my vote - when they went to Bangle they fucked everything up. Now its jelly bean "looks like everything else" styling.

Yeah the E39 M5 is a good big brother to the E46 M3. The replacement gens felt too tech-gizmo and not as familiar to the BMW faithful.

It's amazing what some trim bits and facia do.

I don't like 99-04 Mustangs either, but 03/04 Cobras just look like a completely diff car and make you do a jaw dropping double take.

Same with the E46, crappy dime a dozen boring yuppy car that you see EVERYWHERE ... but when you see an M3 you stop what you are doing and smile. Swear I see this Interlagos/Atlantic deep blue metallic coupe at work and I want one right then and there even though I can't STAND the look of any standard E46.

Both cars same sheet metal as their $5,000 versions, but just diff hood, facia, rocker trim, etc, and it's a 10000x better looking car. Bangle or not the M3 looks right.

lol, biased knows no bound. I personally think most of the mustangs look like ass regardless of what extra bits and craps you put on them. Just looks like pieces of about to rust craps, or rusted craps, with corns and undigested vegetables pieces stuck to them. I don't think anyone would pay a dime for two dozens, why would you. And the people that drive them, don't get me started.
