All that matters to me is I've been window shopping JB4 N55 335i's , not 328s :awe:

I like the M package too. Rear bumper blackouts look so much nicer . Get the M styling with the better engine.

I got an X1 xDrive28i as a rental today, I'm driving to Chicago tomorrow so I shall get some good seat time with the engine. So far it's not bad. I really like the ZF transmission.

Geez!

Never meant for this thread to devolve like this.

I just wanted personal accounts of what's it's like to be behind the wheel of each engine...as someone who has had lots of time behind the wheel of older 328/330 models.

Well I can tell you that the newer turbo engines, in general, "feel" like they have a bit less torque down low but way more power up top. I'm not really sure what you wanted out of this thread, you may need to actually drive them to compare.

Personally I would rather have 10% more power down low than 20% more power up top, but it's really a personal thing and depends on your driving needs.
