Let me test the M5 and I will get back to you on this one.

I tested a used 2002 M5 in the summer of 2004. It was the most exhilarating drive I've even taken--much faster than the Corvette I used to own. My heart was still racing an hour later.

No, I didn't break any laws, but that baby really flies on the highway. Wait a minute.... Maybe I did exceed the speed limit for about 30 seconds. I think it was when I glanced down at the speedometer when I was shifting out of third. Wow!

Still, I bought a Lexus.... A bit more boring, perhaps, but infinitely more reliable.

I've seen 3 so far.

Most baffling to me is that the local Mercedes dealer just put an E60 M5 up on the their main display. One of those tilted elevated stands by the highway. What the hell did someone trade an E60 M5 in on? It's the first one I've seen in Dallas, and it's a trade-in? 😕

330ci is the coupe (2 door), not the 330i.

You're absolutely right.

There is a reason why they get top reviews and top scores. There is a reason why they're the Ultimate Driving Machine. They may not always have the most luxurious interiors or the most refined cars, but they are among the best to drive. But for the most part, they are luxurious as well.

E55 perhaps? The E55 is a better cruiser, the M5 is a better driver car. Different strokes for different folks.

Or maybe even a S55, or maybe a SLK. Who knows, insanely rich people do crazy things.
