Huh? Did you mean wholeheartedly not endorse?

No, he really meant he wholeheartedly endorses it. He's an idiot.

wtf? It's a ROAD. If by amateurs you mean idiots, then you are correct. But I'm sure that even a newly licensed driver could handle driving on that road if they go the speed limit.

No, I enjoy street racing a lot. It's just thrilling. 100mph on a 40mph road... your supercharger screaming, the trans am falling behind you as you dodge around a Honda Odessy...

If you've never gotten into street racing.... it's an experience. Oh, and it's fun to lose the cops (I've done it twice in the last few years.... heh.) I do worry about getting in big trouble though.

He wasnt driving though, the passenger seat is probably scarry enough, the back seat you see even less. I would be scared to death going those speeds, but I guess he thought it was all under control. No pun intended. :( I guess its a possibility he was though but.... damn no matter how you look at it, thats not a good way to go out.

Oh, I forgot he wasn't the driver. That sucks then. Why would you go along if you didn't have your own BMW? Another reason never to ride in the back of a two door....

Ok thats your decision but its still illegal and irresponsible. You say street racing, and above just light to light, so why not just take it to the local drag strip? Pay a few bucks, get time slips and have fun that way instead of on public roads. Now, "street racing" on twisty windy country roads, thats another story, and even more stupid to me to be involved in but there is also ways for that, TRACK DAYS at a local race track. All sorts of possibilities to prevent this stuff going on in the streets...and personally I would tend to believe that it would be more fun on a dedicated track anyway.

please remove yourself from the gene pool. unless you're just making this all up, which has a high probability.

Uh.... You've gotta be fscking kidding me.

I call BS.

You don't "lose the cops" nowdays. I also doubt you have a supercharged automobile. You probably don't know a connecting rod from your elbow.

Everybody enjoys some friendly street competition every once in a while, but you're just plain full of sh!t. :)

Oh brother nebor, how old are you? 16? I was typing out a whole freakin' essay flaming you but you better be glad I'm not about to type it all back up. Go crawl into a hole and die or something before you kill someone else.

Big fvking deal. You have a fast truck. I couldnt care less. If you have nothing productive for this thread then STFU and get out, we didnt start this thread so we could marvel over Nebor's idiotic tendencies, someone DIED. They were an innocent person (as in not the driver anyway) that was taken out from some sort of racing. I dont care if its canyon road racing, street racing, mountain road racing, take it to the track. I'm going to bed.

People "thinking" they are good drivers is were the problem is at. Every idiot thinks of himself as a better driver or above average. Well...there is no way all of us are above average. People think they've got all this skills because they take a 40mph ramp on the freeway at 80mph. People who drown are the ones who *think* they can swim. I used to be like that and did 100mph on the freeway at night when I was tired. One night I got home and thought "Cutting all those cars off was really stupid and I could have easily had an accident". Needless to say I know usually keep up with the flow of traffic.

Sad to be the people witness the scene first hand
I don't know how others feel but seeing someone screaming for help and burned to death helplessly would be the worst nightmare for the days to come. It may probably lingering in mind for the whole life if one was at fault who caused that.

Rest in peace.

Is it true that street racing and exceeding 100 mph both are felonies? Sounds like bull to me.

EDIT: I see astaroth cleared that up. I knew that sounded ridiculous. Many people get tickets for 100+ and none are spending time in pound-me-in-the-ass prison for it except in extreme cases.

4. Exceeding 100 mph (felony)
5. Endangering Passengers

#s 1 and 4 are not felonies, they are misdemeanors. #2 does not apply; because there was no intent to kill the passenger, how could it possibly be 1st degree murder? It would be involuntary or vehicular manslaughter.

I used to work with a guy who hit and killed a bystander during a street race. In California. He was paroled from prison after approximately three years for vehicular manslaughter, and was only in prison that long because he had fled the scene following the incident.

Just what i was going to say, Manslaughter at most.
