The M5 just has good driving dynamics, it can't disguise the fact that is a 4000lb+ pig (curb weights actually higher).

Are you kidding me? It's a 4 door sedan that would destroy 95% of the cars on the street.

M5 = hawt

<------Still laughing.

500 HP cars are so 2003. 500 HP is the standard for mass produced high end cars these days.

1001 HP 😀

Those aren't mass produced and aren't even sold yet. I'm talking about cars you can buy in nearly every city.

But if you want to go head to head:

1829 horsepower, 267mph - http://www.bobnorwood.com/Terminal%20Ve..._2-Liter%20Power%20on%20the%20Salt.htm

you can get TWO m5s for that price.. and probably the m5 handles better too

jeez for that much I'd get a lamborghini or a ferrari.. or maybe a 911 turbo..

spending 180k for a CL is like spending 50k for a civic

The Bugatti is technically a production car and IS in the United States as we speak. It may be limited production (as are those high-end massive HP AMGs), but it's still a reality.

But I can't drive 1 mile and buy one, like I can a Mercedes or BMW. It's not "mainstream."

I can't drive 1 mile and buy a BMW or Merc either. Hell, I'd have to drive about 25 miles.

That being said, it's a production vehicle. There's no way around it. Whether you choose to accept that is your decision.

Vette = redneck. Gatsby would not transport himself in that device.

Have you ever ridden in or driven one? I'm guessing not.

Yeah, it can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 2.46 seconds and has a electronically-limited top speed of 253 MPH. But it is as wide as a school bus and from what I've read it doesn't handle that great on curvy roads.

EDIT: Make that 0-62 MPH (100 KPH) in 2.46 seconds.
