Blurry screen after updating to AMD Vision CC

I suppose I was on terribly outdated video card drivers for my 4650, probably close to a year old or so. Something compelled me to update them today, and it went easily. However, now I have a blurry screen problem. But it isn't a typical blurry screen just small diagonal bands of blurry, that I can get to move around by adjusting the width of the display area, or using the "fine tune" feature on my Viewsonic monitor.

It's bad to the point where I'm starting to get headaches by looking at the screen because some text is sharp and then the next few words are blurry, then back to sharp. I've tried making adjustments in the VCC, on my monitor, through Windows it self but nothing I do can make it go away. All the settings do is just move the blotches from one area to another.

What am I missing?

The display is a Viewsonic VA2226w

Here's a screen shot, I circled where it's blurry for me. I guess my eyes were playing tricks as it isn't diagonal but rather vertical lines of blur. Not sure how well it will translate to a picture but I tried.

Text looks the same to me across the image. That means the problem is somewhere farther in the chain and not in memory. Doesn't mean you can rule out a driver issue though, have you tried a different driver version? You don't necessarily have to have the newest version for your hardware, it's an old card any improvements were implemented long ago.

Drivers can sometimes make small display clock changes. Did you adjust your monitor's clock (autoadjust with a hatch pattern displayed).

Strange, I did the auto-adjust after I first noticed the blurriness and it didn't fix anything. I just did it again, and it appears to be gone.
