I've been having some problems recently with my rig:
XP 1600+
MSI K7T 266A (the red one)
256MB crucial pc2100 ram
IBM 60GXP 60gig HD
Samsung 16 x 10 x 32 cd rw
Visiontek Geforce3 Ti 200 Xtasy
10/100 Lan Card (can't remember what kind, but i don't use it yet)
Running Win XP pro and Red hat linux 7.2
My problem seems recent, the center of my screen in windows or X (kde or gnome) is blurry, like the whole time (the windows welcome screen). I have an "Xtreme flat" 17" display from KDS. In the command line or in the POST it is smooth and crisp. At one point it was fine in windows and X, i've just noticed it in the last week or so.
I'm thinking there might be a video card setting messed up somewhere, because i noticed it in linux when i tried to install the nvidia drivers. Another reason i suspect its a setting and not the video card physically is RTCW runs amazingly well in 1280 x 1024, high detail, 32 bit, etc. and the text is fine and dandy.
I have no idea wtf is going on, and would like any help.
I can't do too many tests this week on my system, i have an orgo and calc exam on wednesday and thursday🙁.
