Setting up my new Palm to syn with computer using bluetooth but I alway got the message "your com port is using by other device". I know it use com 1 and as far as I know I don't have anything on com 1.

Please advise.
 
Do you have a dial up modem as it often uses com 3. The way com ports worked is com 1 and 3 are linked together with common !RQs or other resources. If you don't need your dial up modem, turn it off in bios and that should free up all resources for com 1
