I picked up a Plantronics Explorer 330 from Newegg the other week for about $17. It's okay. I'm sure there are better ones and it supposedly doesn't cancel out external noises too well. It's fine for my needs, which include being able to leave my phone in the spot of my desk where it gets a good signal and for when I make longish calls.

I dont think youll find anything cheaper than that ... Less than $20 is pretty inexpensive as it is.

I have the Moto Pure H12 and my wife has a Jawbone II. Expensive, but well worth every penny. Blocks out all outside noises with the built in noise filter, battery lasts forever, comfortable fit.

I didn't read the thread.

Spend a couple extra bucks and get one that is noise canceling. I have used and sold more BT headsets than I can count. If its for the wife, try something small and pretty like the H12. I own this headset and can't come up with a single complaint about it. It can be had for around $25 on ebay.

With all that said...I hate people who wear their headsets in public.
