Bluetooth Device question

This is how I understand Bluetooth. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
You need bluetooth dongle for your PC an Bluetooth adapter for any devices that has USB port so you can bond it with the dongle right ?
OK. here's my question. I have no problem bonding my cell phone with the Dongle since my cellphone has bluetooth buit-in. but when I connect my adapter to the USB port on printer and have the dongle search for new devices. It found nothing and I notice that my bluetooth adapter is not lit up when I plugged it in the printer (Printer AC is plugged in).

I don't really know much about the bluetooth if someone could explain to me how it works I would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Bluetooth printer adapter <-Found it in a google search, so I know nothing about it. 😉

I don't think your printer has a bluetooth network stack. Think of bluetooth as just another wireless networking method. If the host doesn't have support for bluetooth, it ain't gonna work.
