I so much wanted to like BB2000 when I first heard about it, but after 10 minutes I knew that the only thing that could have saved it was if Akroyd had gotten Jim Belushi and split the writing duties. Between the two of them, they might've made something John would appreciate.Originally posted by: Aquila76

Is the Blues Brothers 2000 just as bad?
Whoever wrote that recycled burning flaming E. Coli infected piece of rotting monkey vomit should have their balls ripped off by Loretta Bobbit and burned so they can never reproduce. after which, their arms should be bitten by rattlesnakes so they get all gangrene and have to be amputated so they can never write again. Upon their death, they should have their soul stripped and eaten by Shang Tsung and then have their lifeless body cut to pieces ans scattered in various volcanic locations across the globe so that they will come back reincarnated to write Snakes on a Plane II: Amazon Airbus.

I've never seen Blues Brothers and neither has my friend, so we watched it last night to see why this now 25 year old movie was such a "cult hit" and both couldn't believe how completely pointless this movie was.
I can't for the life of me figure out why this movie is considered such a classic
EDIT:
I'm seem to have struck a nerve
It's just a (bad) movie!
