Bluegrass

Any fans here?
What are some of your favorites?
One of mine is probably Bela Fleck's "Up and Around the Bend"

Del McCoury Band
Ricky Skaggs
The Whites
Alison Krauss and Union Station
Bill Monroe
Steve Earle (but, imo, he's more rock or Americana)
and, of course, Bela Fleck 😉

I'm seeing Flecktones live on the 6th!!

WOOO!!!!!

But, other than them, I'm not too big into Bluegrass. I'd say Flecktones are a healthy blend of bluegrass and jazzrock.

I am looking for Song titles.
BTW, I love Bela Fleck, but am not really a fan of the Flecktones. In other wordds, I loved "Drive" but don't liek that Cosmic Hippo stuff.

ME! Try Patty Loveless' album "Mountain Soul". True bluegrass.
And "Clinch Mountain Country".

Bluegrass Rules!

Victor Wooten is amazing. I've seen him live once. It is incredible.

I'm not a fan of all their songs, but I like most of em. I think that the Flecktones have the most talent per musician of any other band I've listened to.

I mean, Bela = (one of) the best living banjo players
Victor Wooten = The best living bass player (imho)
Future Man = I dunno much about him, and I don't know much about drumming, but he and his duct-tape drumitar get the job done.

Allison Brown
Bela Fleck
Nickel Creek

Ok, maybe more fusion (is that what it's called?) than old style bluegrass, but I like them.

My grass has alot of blue in it.

Ricky Skaggs & Allison Krouss. Several CDs of both.

I wish Allison would do solo fiddle playen more often..........:sun:

Yep, my banjo is in the closet.

Ricky Skaggs
Alison Krauss and Union Station
Bill Monroe
Steve Earle

older material from:

Flatt and Scruggs = the greatest - period.
Buddy Spurlock
Bill Emerson
The Stonemans
Curtis McPeake
Tommy Jackson
Reno and Smiley
Stanley Brothers
