Best way to eat them is get some brown sugar, put it across the pancakes and then roll it up so the sugar is in the middle. Even better is to put a sausage on the brown sugar and then roll the whole thing up. MMmmm.
Bisquick?! No serious pancake afficiando would ever use Bisquick. Ban!

and.... if you are putting imitation maple syrup on your pancakes
you don't know what you're missing.

I'd bet that <10% of people have even tried real maple syrup :)
MMMMmmmmmm, no contest.

ANY decent pancake with real syrup > blueberry pancakes with imitation syrup (i.e. nearly every brand on the market) > any other pancakes.

Move to Maine.

Maine has the good syrup too.

You gotta use real buttermilk. Yeah, the sausage thing is amazing. They sell those as corndog-like things in the grocer's freezer, but they're not the same.

It's cheap when your mother brings it back from her trips up north to see relatives. (Nothing beats free, right?)

Yes, I love to make blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup.

I've found it's much better to make regular batter, pour it into the pan and then drop the blueberries into the cooking pancake (rather than mix them into the batter directly). Some people recommend dried blueberries, but they are awful.

the "Little" blueberries are native to Mane and NH, maybe most of NE, they grow on really low bushes and are an absoulte pain in the ass to pick, however they are the best, easy to find fresh up here also

and yes REAL maple syrup pwns

be it from NY, NE or Canada, its just rules, i like the Dark grade personally
