I need a hand-free way to get phonecalls in my car. I'm too old and too self conscious to wear one of those earpieces unless absolutely necessary (I wear glasses if that is significant in picking an earpiece).

Any suggestions on the most cost effective blue tooth speaker or earpiece for me? Budget is as low as possible, say $50 but could go to $100. This is for business calls so call quality is extremely important.

I use a Nokia Lumina 635 (Windows 8.1) cellphone.

You have a few options:

1. If your car has an Aux port (headphone jack) for accepting audio input, you can use a Bluetooth car adapter. The most common ones can be brought from Amazon for around $50. I use the Kinivo BTC455. These adapters plug into the cigarette lighter for power and easiest to install.

2. You can also, if your car stereo does not support Bluetooth, replace it with an aftermarket one that does. This will likely be a bit more expensive than option one.

3. Bluetooth earpiece. I can't comment too much since I chose option 1. When I didn't have the adapter, I found earpieces by Plantronics to be the most reliable.

Thanks Prince. I never heard of those bluetooth car adapter, that may be just the ticket. I was thinking also of an aftermarket car stereo, but my car (2008 Prius) has a pretty integrated dash, any aftermarket unit would definitely look tacked on.

If you don't have an AUX jack, I have this BT FM transmitter, and it is one of the best purchases I've made. Works well in a major city like San Diego, and was a life saver during a 4000 mile road trip around the Western US.

Assuming you can find a station that is free, it is crystal clear and call quality is very good. I have it set to one station and never have to change it on my 30 mile commute. Don't know how they managed that, but it's brilliant.

Best part is never listening to radio again. Spotify and podcasts FTW.

most of them pick up background noise badly. For business, don't skimp, get a highly rated jabra on amazon

for just audio/music, the Kinovo BTC 450/455 are really really good. cant comment on call quality, I use a separate dedicated handsfree. I stickied the BTC to the middle console between front seats. good purchase
