I'm in the middle of browsing anandtech and I get the B.S.O.D.

Heres the stop code:

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x80533F7B, 0XAA040B5C, 0x00000000)

Mean anything to anyone?

is that all there was to the BSOD? i doubt anyone here can decipher what went wrong based solely on a memory address.

did it say, by any chance, "IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL" or something of that nature?

nope, nothing like that. It just told me a bunch of stuff like:

"If this is the first time you've seen this screen restart"
"Contact someone if this happens again"
"Dumping system memory"
"Dump complete"

Just stuff like that.

I'll write all of it down if it happens again. It only happens once in awhile though.

try reinstalling both your motherboard drivers and your video card drivers (make sure you have the latest versions of both).

what chipset does your mobo use?

I just got another B.S.O.D.

Error:

BAD_POOL_CALLER

What does that mean?

P.S.
It also gave me all the usual text on the screen, but I didn't think it was relevant. (i.e. If this is the first time you've seen this error...)

Read thru the URL in my .sig, follow all those directions, send me the minidump file, the MPS Reports .cab file, and such *after* you've done all the updates listed. Yep, ALL of them, SP2 too if you can get it - get everything Windows Update presents to you. Once you've done all the updates and you've generated another minidump, I'll look at it, and see if we can figure out what's going on. :)
