Blue screen in some web sites using HT and SP2

Hi does someone knows why i keep having a blue screen (exception 0x0000005 i think) only in some web pages ( and only when i'm online ) , in Hotmail it happens every time.

The wierd stuff is that if i disable HT in bios that doesn't happen.

My PC

Intel P4 2.8 Ghz @800Mhz w/ HT / Thermaltake Cooling
Asus P4P800s-SE
2x 512 Mb 400Mhz OEM ( 2.5c .3.3.6 )
Asus AX800 Pro Agp 8x 256Mb DDR3
Hd Seagate Ata 100 80GB
Dvd Asus Ata 100
DVD -r/rw Asus 4x
Pinneacle Studio Dv
SB Live!
Fresh install of Xp pro with Sp2
Cable modem Us robotics

I used to have a p4 2.8@533 and changed to a 2.8 ghz 800 Mhz Bus with HT.
Everything works fine , Doom 3 and Sims 2 works beautiful, i've burn Dvd's, used Sisoft sandra 2004 - NO PROBLEMS, i surf the web downloaded several drivers from several sites ( ASUS, ATI, CREATIVE etc etc etc ), still no problems, i tried to enter Hotmail service and BANG!!! blue screen , and again, and again, and again, Ok let's try with diferent memory ( usually i associate error exceptions with bad/faulty memory) and every time i enter hotmail service ( or my Isp by the way ) BANG blue screen!!!, not memory's fault.

Next i've moved to the processor... ( after all it was the newest piece of hardware i've install ), remove it clean it, used some new silver thermal grease from akasa , processor still work at 40 º ( celsius), and BANG!! blue screen when i tried hotmail . F*CK now i´m getting Piss** off.

Ok let´s do some net research... nothing, let's try the NOT logical procedure let's disable HT from my processor ( last chance , i´ve tried almost everything ) and VOILÁ , no more Blue Screens.

Very , very weird..., today at work i've research a little more and discovered that a lot of people are having blue screens because of DEP that comes with SP2, maybe it's that cause after all , does anyone have any idea of what am i dealing with here?????

I'm no professional when it comes to Hardware, but im not a newbie also, all my computers were home built since Intel mad the pentium and never ever had problems like this.

Any help woulb be very aprecciated

Thanks

I have an A64 system XPpro SP2 and DEP works great for me, including hotmail. I have it enabled for all programs and services too. perhaps the bug is Intel and/or HT specific in nature? Anywho, your english is awesome  and here's a bump for more responses 🙂

Thanks.

I've disabled DEP, it didnt work, didnt crash in hotmail this time it happend in Intel's site when i was downloading a HT tool 🙁.

Maybe i'll change the board someday, for now i disabled HT and overclocked from 2.8 to 3.2 ( to compensate HT lost ). Since besides burning som dv movies the main thing i do is play so my x800 does the trick), or i'll connect other computer to the web and enable HT since i only have problems online ( weird very very weird ).

I'll keep testing other ways of turning the damn HT with SP2. If anyone have any solution im all ears.

I have all updates from microsoft, all my drivers are certified, i believe that the memory was causing the trouble. I overclocked my processor to 3.22Ghz ( 230 x4 ), and downclocked my memory from 400Mhz ( 3.0 - 4 - 4 - 8 ) to 368 ( 2.5 - 3 - 3 - 6 ), with DEP off, i have less memory bandwith but WAY more processor power ( with HT on ).
Some results - 3d Mark 2001 - +/- 19000 ; 3d Mark 2003 - +/- 12000 ; 3d Mark 2005 - 4585 .

It didn't go blue on me again thats a fact, another fact is that memtest ( from boot disk ) didn´t show any errors. So until i change the motherboard i'll keep my computer like this. I wont discard Sp2 since i don´t use any other firewall and the pop-up blocker is such a sweet thing.

Thanks everybody.

crazy is correct. DEP applies to the A64/FX lines, and those are the systems that have been reported to have problems with DEP. Your issue is not DEP related.

With HT on i'm still getting that damn blue screen ( IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL)(0X0000000A), nothing seems to solve it. When i turn off HT i dont have any trouble, HT on and i can play work whatever i wont to do i can except going online. I'm know that a IRQL issue is a memory problem , what i dont know is if it is due to faulty memory or that two devices tried to acess the same memory location. I dont believe that there is a hardware problem because i've had that memory for quite a while and only when i upgraded my processor the blue screens appeared. On the other hand it doesn't sound logical that only when i'm online it happens, and the fact that with HT off nothing of this happens is the WHAT A HELL!!!! issue.

I've tried lowering the mem speed ( 400 to 333 ) - BLUE
... disable DEP - BLUE
... OC to 3.2 - BLUE
...DC to 2.6 - BLUE
... changed mem CAS - BLUE
...tried only 512MB - BLUE
...tried the others 512MB - BLUE
...tried some 512MB@266 from my other machine - BLUE ( not a mem hardware issue that for sure )
...updated monitor drivers and modem also - BLUE ( the two only things that weren't uptaded yet )
... disabled HT - EVERYTHINGS OK

Now don't tell me it is a faulty processor because ( like i stated before ) it only happens when i'm online and only in some sites (MSN, HOTMAIL, My ISP, AVAULT etc etc , or it is random i don't really know)

I'm really thinking in formatting and installing XP PRO only with SP1. I'm almost sure that it is a SP2 issue

HELP HELP HELP

bump in hope that someone can solve the mystery. I have never heard of this. I suspect this is software related .....

PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All i had to do was to change my soundblaster live from PCI Slot 5 to PCI Slot 3. Did´t had any blue screen again .
Thank's to everyone reply.

By the way i overclocked my X800 pro to GPU 500@1000Mhz and my processor from 2.8 to 3.36 , 3D Mark 2005 now shows 4885 :|. Doom 3 at 1280x1024 Ultra Quality ( Demo 1 ) gives me 62 Fps ( 4x TAA = 39Fps ).

Now i'm kicking ass
