It's drinkable. Other better Belgian whites out there if that is the beer style you are after. But its easily available most places and its an easy choice over any Bud, Miller or Coors product. (yes i know BM is by Coors)

Out of all the beers Ive ever tried, Blue Moon is the only one that I can stand. Not much of a beer drinker though.

Anheuser-Busch InBev owns most of the so called good beers. In this thread. Its not really any different.

SABMiller/MillerCoors/Molson Coors and Anheuser-Bush InBev brew most beer sold throughout the world.

Millercoors has been one company for a few years now :awe:

MillerCoors is a joint venture between SABMiller and Molson Coors. SABMiller and Molson Coors are still two separate companies. MillerCoors is just a distribution company. They combined their distribution networks so they could compete with InBev.

Budweiser (bud heavy, not bud light) is generally underrated, though. Beer snobs hate it because it's "macro" and everyone else just assumes it's average because it's ubiquitous.

Budweiser is actually a pretty good beer for that style. It's kind of like PBR, an excellent version of a shitty style of beer.

Coors Original(not light) is extremely underrated as well. Its better than Bud or Miller IMHO.

I like wheat beers. Its my favorite kind.

My favorite is Franziskaner hefe-weissbier, but I also like Shock Top and Blue Moon. I really don't care that they're all made by big brewers. They taste good. If you have any suggestions to other delicious wheat beers, please share. If you're suggesting micro-brews: I'm in the Boston area.

Been thinking about trying to brew my own, but am not sure where to start.

If you need microbrew recs, you live in the right place. I just moved to Maine and there is a ton of great beer.

Allagash White is my favorite. Long Trail Hibernator is good. Shipyard Prelude. All of those are available right now.

Other brewers to look for are Cisco and Geary's. Geary's Winter Ale is pretty good right now.

But I also like Bud, Bud Light, Blue Moon, PBR, and can handle some malt liquors - so I'm no purist.

It's a chic beer. They like it so they push it. Everybody really does know this. It's like cider beers, a chic beer for chics that don't like the taste of beer.

My girlfriend hates the taste of beer and she thinks blue moon tastes like urine.

LOL. I guess after drinking a nicely done wit beer I'll have to go drink a Miller Lite and "man up".

Sorry, but putting fruit in beer is a serious alcohol violation. (Unless you pee sitting down)

well, you're right in that it would probably make that Natty Light that you drink taste even worse.

but as for Blue Moon, in general...meh.

LOL. In all honesty, I'll drink just about any beer - except fruit flavored or sweet beers. Generally drink PBR if I'm going cheap though. Mostly drink hoppy/bitter IPA's and dark Ales.

I still say putting fruit in your beer is ruining a perfectly good beer. It's akin to marinating a good steak - it's just wrong. 😀

 for the PBR.

Cheaper than, and better than, most of the domestic shite that is so popular. If I'm drinking a lager for the sake of my budget, that's the one I'd pick.

Unfortunately that's probably going to change soon, as the company is doing some major production changes, from what I hear...

Meh. You can do a lot worse. Definitively not my fav, there are other wit biers and heffeweizens I'd rather drink. That's usually either when it's stupid hot outside and I'm sweating my ass off, or I'm eating BBQ.
Now there have been times when both of these conditions were in effect and I am not ashamed to say that a lot of Blue Moon was consumed.

Not sure what you're talking about. It's huge in the mid-west. Especially at pizza places.

A picture of Fritzo without a guitar?

Judging from this thread, I guess we can all agree that blue moon is a g&g kind of beer, geezers and girls.
