Have you seen it yet? If so, where did you see it and what did you think?

May be in Boston tomorrow night,

I saw them at wango tango. Was pretty good. Wouldn't pay a lot to see just them though. It got kinda boring for me after a while.

2.5 thumbs down, 1.5 thumbs up. Hmmm...

What was it like, exactly? They kinda creep me out, but all in the name of modern art, yes?

Freaked out by the Intel commercials,

I live and saw it in Chicago. It's waaaaaaaaaay different from anything else I've seen. I'm glad I saw it. They make music with alternative type instruments, like PCV pipe. They also have flourecent paint that they splash everywhere. At one point they throw marshmellows in each other's mouths. I would recommend it.

<< Saw them on a Intel commercial, why pay money to go to a show >>

Actually, you hit the nail on the head. They hardly did anything that I hadn't seen them do on TV at one point or another.

Close call... hmmm. Well, I suppose it would be better than spending another night in front of my computer screen... hopefully I'll enjoy it. If not, we can always spend the evening wandering around Boston... I hope the weather clears up a bit, though. Thanks for your feedback... if anyone else feels strongly one way or the other, let me know!

Going to go,

Think "Stomp" on acid, and that's what you'll get. A lot of people require something substantial such as a plot or character development when they go to a show, which BMG has none of. If you like slapstick comedy and percussion, then you'll love them. Personally that was one of my favorite acts.

pretty creative i thought

pouring paint onto drums, pvc pipe trombones were all "neat" gimmicks

worthwhile to see it once, but save your money afterwards

Saw them in NYC 6 years ago. It was ok.

If you look like a Japanese tourist, I'd stay away though. They like plucking them out of the audience and using them as volunteers.

Luxor, Las Vegas also. I thought they were pretty cool. However the guys aren't the original 3 guys. The original 3 has alot of people working for them ask Blue Men since they have so many shows to do... :(

Saw it two weeks ago. I loved it -- awesome music, and lots of good clean comedy. If you're looking for something perverted, go somewhere else. True, they do some stuff that you see in the Intel commercials, but the commercials are only 30 seconds long, while the show is about two hours long. There's a lot that they DON'T show in the commercials.

What if I want to be plucked out of the audience and used as a volunteer? :p

What do the "volunteers" have to do?

I've been mistaken for Japanese, Filipina, Korean, Hawaiian, and even Latina before... but I'll be with a nice British boy, so maybe they'll refrain from using me.

Looking forward to going,

I'm sure their routine has changed a bit but they like grabbing audience members and placing them on stage and doing things to them like strapping video cameras and making them walk around or making them swallow stuff.

A former co-worker of mine (a Japanese lady) was a girlfriend of one of the founders of Blue Man so I guess he has a thing for Japanese girls.
