Contacted Best Buy's in 3 states - no stock on hand.

Showing none in transit. Did BestBuy even get stock of this phone?

The blue one was back in stock between 1.00-1.30pm. This was when I ordered mine for free shipping on Feb 8th.

Not in stock in our area either, only available online until it sells out.

Yes they did. Well that sold out quickly, congrats to those who got in on this.

I question if BestBuy in-store got these - they are not really on ebay. Thinking that only a few stores got these in and rest were sold online.

Tucson's 3 BestBuys had none in stock and questioned if they ever received stock.

I'll check the BestBuy website periodically to see if I get lucky.

My company just bought 200+ of these. Using to drop AT&T contracts. Insurance of $25\year, $25 deductible. Apple is screwed. Companies look at $$$, these are too cheap and good to pass up.

All the other specs seem ok, and dual SIM is neat, but WTF is with the octocore A53??? That's pretty useless on a phone. It's not going to be any faster than a quadcore A53. Mediatek could have at least put a few A57 cores in there.

You expect a57 cores in a $99 phone?
Qualcomm threw a pair of them into the sd808 soc and after 2 minutes they throttle down and after 12 minutes they get shut down. No thanks, 8 a53's core is more than enough.

That's just particular to Qualcomm's implementation. Exynos performs better. My issue is 8 mediocre cores in a phone. That's just a complete waste of silicon.

I can wish I had A53.
I'm stuck with 4xA7 in my Lumia that cost twice as much :)

Funny how it was out of stock all weekend, but now the sale is over, at 6:30am, they are magically back in stock.

Best Buy is like that.

I bought a Nvidia 750 TI from them last month and it was one of the (VERY) few GPUs they sell that aren't specific to them, so I called them and made them price match the sale price Newegg had for that item. They did it, but literally five minutes later the device was out of stock online. It came back into stock as soon as the Newegg sale ended. Then a week later Amazon had the same card on sale, and again it went out of stock on Bestbuy.com until the Amazon sale ended.

I guess in the modern age they have to do whatever they can to keep them margins needed to survive.

Im sure the 14nm implementation on exynos has something to do with it, anyway if you increase your budget 4-6 times im sure you'll get those a57 cores.

Apple didn't have any problems with A8 at the same fab on the same node.

Apple has its own cores not crap from arm, there's a reason qualcomm does custom cores, the 808/810 being the only exception due to lacking 64bit cores.
