Blu Ray Drive question

I have a Lite On DVD Burner and a DVD Rom drive. I was thinking about upgrading one or both of them to Blu Ray drives (most likely just one). I have had zero issues out of my Lite On drives.

Any suggestions on what to look at for a Blu Ray Reader/Burner drive? I see these online at BB, but they have an LG in the store that is not listed there. ZZF and Newegg have a few but I would like to know what ones to look at for reliability.

I have an LG Blu Ray drive. It's a read only. I have had it about 1 1/2 years with no problems. Nowadays they should all be decent quality so just go with the brand you trust.

The only one I have any experience with has worked great for me. My HP Pavilion Elite media center PC came with an LG GBW-H20L Blu-Ray writer, which I cross-flashed to convert it into a GGW-H20L...so it can now read HD-DVD discs too.

Works perfectly.

For any PC with Blu-Ray capability, AnyDVD HD is pretty much required to make sure you don't have compatibility problems and you have the freedom to do what you want with your movies. Anand's recently reaffirmed that, due to DRM, it's still easier to play Blu-Ray movies the "illegitimate" way than the way you're expected to.
