Picked one up this week for my daughter to try out in place of her recently drowned IP6 and so far we're both impressed. Its a brightly designed phone that everyone notices and comments on. Performance is snappy, smooth and all together great. Camera isn't spectacular but its not bad either. Screen is a 720 but still looks bright and crisp. SD Slot allows me to add whatever space we need. Great phone and I only paid $150 for it.

Phones like this make me question why anyone would ever sign into a 2 year carrier contract or whatever it is T-Mobile is doing these days with their payment plans.

Good to hear. My mother-in-law needs a new phone but her Idea of an expensive phone is $100. I've been looking at the moto-E, Moto-G, and the Blu phones.
I'll have to give them a closer look!

Who has it for $150?

The Lumia 640 is a bit slower but for $100 (@Walmart), the trade off seems worth it.

the only reason i think people sign up with a 2 years plan is for the "free" phone. they dont realize see they are paying for the phone.
im perfectly happy with the $30 phone LG 70, no contract from metroPCS/T-mobile. while wife n mom paying $15/month with republic wireless (from Sprint).

If you don't mind sprint prepaids plans ($45 for 3gb a month, roaming + rollover data) you can get the LG Flex for $199 still. 2gb 800 snapdragon 6" screen with a great UHD camera.

The T-Mobile version is single SIM and locked (but can be unlocked for free depending upon service usage/credits), and of course has their Wi-Fi calling.

Non-carrier dual SIM unlocked are $190, and of course lack the T-Mobile Wi-Fi (firmware). But it shows the value of the BLU Win HD LTE.

That is an older model, not the LTE.

The smaller BLU Win Jr LTE is appealing also and if going bigger anyway then the 640 XL starts to look good. Ideally, I would like dual SIM, T-Mobile Wi-Fi, the higher specs in a smaller form factor, and trust Lumia quality and support more (and like the availability of parts and accessories). Ehh, can't have everything.
