time was of the essense.

i live in NC now. my house is in VA. i just started my new job 2 months ago. i had to leave my boss voicemail sun nite saying i won't be in mon because of an emergency in my house in va. since i'm new at the job, i wanted to minimize the amount of time i'm out.

getting 2nd opinions would have taken a day, and if they would have said to replace the furnace also, it would have taken an additional day. that's wed. depending on how late the guy finishes, i might not leave for NC till thurs. (the guy that replaced my furnace started at 2pm and finished at 7:30 pm.)

i also had plans to go back to va during the holiday weekend to see my friends

so i'm out mon-thurs morning, at work thurs afternoon and fri, go back to va fri nite.

also the cold weather in dc. w/no heat in the house, i didnt want my pipes to burst. (MAIN CONCERN) hm..now that i think about it, i could have turned off the main water valve, and purged the water from my house. :(

ARRG.... the more i think about it, the more i think i got screwed. 20/20 hindsight... :(

but on sun nite when i received the call from my neighbor saying there's an emergency at my house and that the furnace had problems, the fire dept had to kick down my door to shut off furnace for fear of fire/explosion, and w/o heat, pipes might burst-> i was overwhelmed with shock/fear and thinking on emotions. :(

sigh.. :(

What is the name of this so called "no name furnace" ?

(unless the repair tech remove the name tag, you should find it on the outside or inside the access door)

RPJ

I'm looking on yahoo, and the RPJ seems to be a particular design type. Not an manufactures name.

KK
