</a>

Looks like it's not a $5.00 cooler anymore just raised it to $6.99 today:Q

I just got mine today, its an AGOIA, do I have to unlock it to overclock it? I am running it on an Abit KR7A-133Raid, how do i do it

Thanks guys I'll check those out. How's the noise level on those anyway? I was looking for something pretty quiet.

not really familiar with your mb, but if its a 133(not the 133a) chipset you could still use your buss but your agp/pci will probably give out alot sooner than the mb's with the newer chipsets made for the higher buss.so using the multipliers would prove benifitial.i would also ck to see what the highest multiplier setting your mb will handle is.you may have to update bios to handle the multi's you may need to use.

The description says about 31 decibels for the Volcano 6 but i've not tried it yet so I can't describe it. If it handles 2000XP then for $6 it's a pretty good deal. I often reduce the fan speed anyway with resistors if it's too loud.

I got mine today also, it is an Agoia 0212XPUW. I don't know what does numbers stand for, maby their serial number. I also got it unlocked pretty easealy using scoth tape and epoxy. It only took a couple of minutes.

Looks impressive Toro. Hows it work for ya?
I'm building my first PC! I'm going to start with this Athlon. Any suggestions? Thanks advanced 🙂

What did you use to fill in the pits and connect the bridges?!

Will the SVC GC68 fit on an Epox 8KHA+ board? Doesn't look like you can fit a 80mm HSF on this board. By the way, the shipping on the Volcano 6 for CA folks is $7.95, and then there is tax.

got mine from Nutrend.com, Agoia Y. Runs totally stable at 175x10.5 for 1.838ghz at 1.85v, ran stable at 169x10.5 at default voltage.

I have this board and I probably have on the biggest hs there is, a swifty.

I also have the gc68, it's somewhere in my closet because it didn't fit on my old fic board. but I think it would fit on the epox

$57.99 is such a great price on that cpu, must resist, must resist.

I'm not using it but I heard it's a great cooler for the price.

If I was buying the XP1600 I'd be getting the Thermalright AX7 from the same site.

Toro🙂

Actually it's $56.99 now, and I never saw this before but they give you a full 1 year warranty on the processor for an extra $5, definitely worth it for that, since it's so cheap anyhow.

I got mine Tuesday, it's an AGOIA, and I've managed to get it to 1.54Ghz on my K7S5A.

Echo that. Mine arrived Wednesday morning (shipped Monday night), AGOIA, same speed, same board, default voltage, Thermalright AX-7 w/Enermax UC-8FAB @ 40cfm/3500rpm. My nipples are all tingly now.

Wait a couple weeks, if you can... bet the price will go down significantly. Even the new shipment are AGOIA cores, so I doubt there's any reason to rush in on it just for that.

Would be interested to know who is getting AROIA chips. Also would be interested in knowing what mobo/ram combo you dudes hitting 1.8ghz+ are using.

Does it make sense to think the longer we wait, the better (later) the core code is gonna be? Or are they just gonna stop producing these soon...
