I think it's stupid to act like a sniveling dog begging to give your money to a bigot who doesn't want your business.

What the hell are you rambling on about? I asked you a simple question, can you not answer it?

Well the Civil Rights Act has had huge benefits. Discrimination and racism are now taboo. But I don't understand the original motivation of wanting to force businesses (as opposed to public institutions) to discontinue discrimination. Why would you beg and snivel on the ground for the right to give your money to someone who doesn't want your race's money?

Why are you talking about "sniveling and begging"? It's a REALLY simple question, do you believe there should be laws telling people what they can, and can not allow on their private property?

Yes, clearly the law can prevent you from having illegal objects on your property. The question here is whether the right to bear arms gives the government the right to force private businesses to allow guns in their establishments.

And it's moot because according to spidey07, shop owners can prohibit guns. So now are you going to grovel before the government to force private businesses to allow your guns?

Uhhh, why are you quoting that irrelevant number? What about percentage of guns that are illegal?

I guess in your mind, murder isn't an issue because the rate is so low per 100,000 people. And rape, that barely even exists!

No, I'm just saying of all the facets of gun crime to go after, this is fairly insignificant. In that report it states that we're talking less than 1/3 of all "traced guns recovered at crime scenes" (43,254). And the "top 10 gun crime exporters" only account for half of that, so 15% of all guns traced for the states catching the flack.

Instead of bitching about the 30% caused by your neighbors, why not focus on the collective 70% native to your state that's happening in spite of your vaunted gun laws? The answer? This is simply another gun control ploy to scare people into enacting laws that will, at best, fix less than 1/3 of the problem and punish more legal gun owners than criminals. I could buy the "well we're tackling what we know about" argument if the site mentioned it was only 30% of the problem. It doesn't. Anywhere outside of the original report, which they'd probably alter if it wasn't a federal crime.

Why do you keep deflecting?

Not only that, it isn't like criminals are going to line up to register their illegal guns anyway. The whole idea of registering firearms to help catch criminals is retarded.

Much like banning guns will not do anything to criminals and only disarm decent citizens, but I think that point has been beaten to death with a fat horse anyway.

I suspect gun control is an issue where one side really cant change the mind of the other. Everybody has their belief and is pretty much stuck in it. Arguing is kind of pointless.
Abortion too.

You hate democracy.

The whole concept of an elected government serving the people is alien to you.

We all understand the danger of excessive concentrated power - some more than others - whether it's in the form of an authoritarian government, or 'private', or usually both.

The government can be a force for tyranny or for protection from tyranny, but you don't get that - only the tyranny part.

Michael Bloomberg isn't your enemy, he's not worse than armed violent criminals, he's not a tyrant. These are delusions you have.

things liberals do, pursuing rights, limits on the use of violence and on authority, and much more.

Craig, you are right, I hate democracy. Elections can be bought, people who gain power seldom give it up. They pass laws in which change the rules on us.

On October 2, 2008, Bloomberg announced that he would seek to extend the city's term limits law and run for a third mayoral term in 2009, arguing that a leader of his field is needed during the Wall Street financial crisis. "Handling this financial crisis while strengthening essential services ... is a challenge I want to take on," Bloomberg told at a news conference. "So should the City Council vote to amend term limits, I plan to ask New Yorkers to look at my record of independent leadership and then decide if I have earned another term".[57] On October 23, 2008, the City Council voted 29-22 in favor of extending the term limit to three consecutive four-year terms, thus allowing Bloomberg to run for office again.[58] After two days of public hearings, Bloomberg signed the bill into law on November 3.[59]

We see that every day. Obama has not reversed a single thing Bush did with all the abuses we heard from liberals during Bushes run. What does that make liberals? Hypocrities.

Why do you support tyrants who are in office? Bloomberg is not your friend...

In March 2009, Forbes reported Michael Bloomberg's wealth at $16 billion.

It's obvious what he is after. And he is no friend of mine. The rules change while he is in office to maintain his power... He's been paid off, big time, he gained 4 billion in a few years as a mayor, who can manage that? I have to pay for things in tax dollars that he and the presidents, and everybody else talk about and plan behind closed doors, against the will of the people. Traitors, one and all.
