i'm shocked. i hate people that cut in lines, but was a tasering really required? and in front of her 3 year old child? c'mon now.

According to the Fayetteville Observer, the woman entered the
McDonald's drive-thru on Friday but rather than place her order at
the menu board or pay at the first window, she went straight to the
pick-up window to order her food.

"She did not want to wait in line," a rep for the Cumberland County
Sheriff's Dept. tells the paper. "They told her she had to go around
and wait like everybody else did and place her order that way, that
they weren't set up at that window to take her order or take her
money... She wasn't having any of that."

Determined that she was in the right, the woman remained at the
window for around 20 minutes before authorities arrived on the
scene.

Two or three officers entered the car with her and started trying to
forcibly drag her out of the car, and that's when you could hear the
clicking sound of the Taser one time... They pulled on her a couple
of times, and then they Tased (stunned) her again, and when they
Tased (stunned) her the second time, she just flopped out of the
car like a fish.

that last line had me rofling for some reason

She's mentally ill. That is clearly the only explanation. I'm being serious. How else could such stupidity occur?

should have casually pepper sprayed her, for sure

yes acceptable she was engaging in "threatening behavior". Don't be a dumb ass and things like this won't happen.

The fact her 3 year old witnessed it is irrelevant. The kid witnessed what happens when you are an idiot and block a drive through.

How else were the cops supposed to gain control of the situation and move the stubborn woman?

3 cops, 1 woman. gee , how did they handle these situations in the 70s and 80s, before tasers were prevalent. :\

That is pretty bad, but I have been to a McDonalds drive thru and the lady in front of me paid for 36 dollar menu items with change(she was in a conversion van with about 8 kids jumping around in the back). Yes, she counted out all the change necessary to pay for 36 dollar menu items. It felt like I was there for 30 minutes. I wondered at the time if welfare was being given out in change these days.

She really thought pulling up to the window to order was going to save time? She's obviously too dumb to respond to anything short of tasering.

They probably went up side people heads with billy clubs and dislocated their arms while dragging them screaming from their cars. See? We're improving.

Fuck that. Why should I have to muscle a woman out of the way? That why tasers were invented. A non lethal way to solve problems. In the 70s, cops has choke holds, night sticks and revolvers as the only tools. You want to go back in time to those days?

You continually gloss over the fact that the woman refused to follow orders and brought this on herself.

I wonder if the people behind her hung out for 20 minutes to watch her get tased. Would have been worth it.

I rather the cops tase the hell out of her than pull a back muscle pulling her out of the car and my taxes will have to pay for his workers comp.

I was stuck behind an ignorant bitch for close to 30 minutes at a McDonalds drive thru in Chicago, blocked in by her in front and maybe 7 or 8 cars behind me. Why? For the fucking .50 cents she didn't want to pay for extra bbq sauce for her nuggets.

The argument between her ghetto ass and the ghetto ass cashier was fun to listen to, but that's about it. Cops were called, one shows up and ended up paying the change for her dumbass. Very uneventful ending.
