Blocking SP3?

I know there is the blocker program that changes the registry key for you but if this is done on a WSUS server would it only block the server itself from recieving the update? That seems the most logical. I have been searching but haven't found anything on the web for blocking it in WSUS, as right now all updates are auto approved.

Also am I understanding the release schedule right, next week it will be availble through windows update if manual, then in June it will be in auto updates. So that means it won't get into WSUS till June?

Uhh.. just don't approve SP3 in WSUS.

I have never been a fan of pushing service packs via a patch management tool anyway. You need to be at the machine to see if there are any quirks to correct.

Yeah seems best to not auto approve. Dealing with my WSUS, I have 3 groups. Production, Test and Test Unremovable. I approve updates for the test group and after one week of no errors will push them to the production computers. I was never a fan of pushing updates untested.
