I returned a movie late into blockbuster today, about two weeks late. I know they have some funky return policy that includes some kind of restocking fee. What exactly do I need to do? Anyone have any experience with this?

this is normal.
Even though there is no "late fee", after like a week or so, if you don't return the movie, they charge the price of the movie to your account. When you return it, they should credit you the price of the dvd minus a "restocking fee"

you don't need to do anything because they'll bill your credit card automatically. isn't that nice of them?

If you dont have a credit card on file - the next time you rent they tell you that you owe $x.xx...![]()

Yeah no late charges, just if you show up late they charge you for the movie in full. If you bother returning it there is a restocking fee.
But remember there are no more late fees!

They give you an extra 7 days, and the restocking fee is quite different from a late fee - it's a flat fee, not a per-day charge. WTF do you want from them? They need SOME way to get you to actually return the movie.

The bs "No Late Fees" campaign was indeed misleading and was shot down: http://ag.ky.gov/news/2005rel/Blockbuster.htm
They charge you whatever they charge for a used copy of the DVD, since that's technically what you "bought'.Originally posted by: Genx87
How about a honest advertisement. The only way I even found out about this was when reading the fine print on their website. Restocking Fee on a movie they own is hilarious. What is there to restock? They put the movie back on the shelf like they do every other movie that gets dropped into the box at night. Even more funny is them charging full price for an open item.
