Blockbuster HOT Deal - Mech Assault $19.99

I wanted to give back to everyone that posts the great deals here.

At Blockbuster, Jacksonville, NC I picked up Mech Assault for 19.99. Everywhere I have seen it for no less than 49.99 brand new. The display box showed it for 19.99, and I thought I was getting a used copy, but to my surprise and the clerks it was a new game. Mech Assault is an older game, but its still priced high. I thought I would post this deal to all my xbox'ers out there.

YMMV- As far as I can tell there is no rhyme or reason to how each Blockbuster prices used games and DVDs.
 
I loved playing Mech on the computer🙂 I had the old school Mechwarriors II Mercenaries on my P166. I remember I would stock up on lasers because I didn't know how to use all the other guns😛

I can confirm Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 0, Mechassault, Metal Gear Solid: Substance and Ratchet & Clank are $19.99.

I'm pretty sure that Super Mario Sunshine and Starfox Adventures are $29.99. The rest I'm not sure about.
 
Not only was it $50 at the Blockbuster by me, but it was also not in the original packaging (but it was being sold as new). Oh well. Congrats to those who get it.

That is their display packaging. If you go the clerk and ask for a price check it will ring up at $19.99. I saw the same display package marked at $49.99 and got 2 games in the original packaging for $20 each.

Was it the black box with a cover that looks like the real cover? Do they have the real thing behind the counter or something? If so, I'll head back. Thanks.
 
That Blockbuster webpage says in small print that other games are also the $19.99-$29.99 price. I wonder which ones?

Yes, and the clerk apologized for not changing the price stickers. To that I said "good! so it doesn't sell out." They won't sell you opened product as new like EB does. I have a brand new Mech Assault and Resident Evil 0 from Blockbuster right now.
 


Looks like many Blockbusters are no longer going to stock new games for sale.

Manager told me they just shipped all sealed titles they had to another store...


 
THANK YOU!! Just snagged MechAssault for $20...the thing is $50 EVERYWHERE around here and online most places still. Awesome game. This reminds me of the Max Payne for $15 deal years ago...but without a price match! Too sweet. This was at the Pembroke Pines, FL store if anyone's interested and lives around there, they still have 3 copies of MechAssault left. Plus, they were brand new, sealed.
 
Just popped up to work and checked the price of the few gamecube games and metorid prime and resident evil 0 rang up 19.99. I will get a print out of all the prices for our new games and see what I find during my shift tomorrow.
 
Don't forget....

You can get a 110% PM @ CC or BB (Best Buy, that is) on these titles.
Also, you may be able to pull off a 100% PM at BB instead, and then apply a $5 OFF Gamer's Gift card coupon, for a pre-tax cost of $14.99!
 
Slick but too much work for me. It's a hassle to get those nubs to price match anything at BB let alone apply a coupon right after that. :frown:
