Blockbuster "grace period"

Short question, my blockbuster receipt reads my due date is today before noon, can i return it next week before noon and still not have to pay any kind of extra fees?

Since they jacked up the price to rent, i figure i might as well take advantage of this grace period thing.

I have no idea what this "grace period" means, does it mean that the movie is your's to keep because my defination of "grace period" is never.

You have a one week grace period when you can turn it back in without the late fee. After a week, you have 3 weeks (I think)--they'll give you the option
to buy the movie/game/whatever or sell it back to them, and they'll charge you a "restocking fee."

At a certain point, don't know how long, they just charge the selling price to your credit card or account now.

from what i hear, you can keep it an extra week, if you don't return it by then, htey charge the movie to your account, but if you bring it back they take it back off, all an effort to get more people to come and rent movies, rather sad...

No, they refund you. If they charged your crdit card, they will refund to your credit card, but you have to be there, in person, to do that. If they charged your membership card, they will take the balance off.

They sure do try and make it confusing.

# What do you mean by "the end of late fees?" A: For any reason, if you are unable to return the movies or games by their due date, you won't be charged additional fees for keeping them an extra day or two.

So is it 2 days or 7 days extra you can keep it without any extra fees?

jactackle, the answer to your question is yes, you have one extra week to return it. But keeping it for an extra week out of spite because they jacked up the prices will only contribute to higher prices. (I am not a Blockbuster customer by the way, and I hope they don't take over Hollywood Video).

They already raised their prices though, that's why i want to take advantage of it, if they raise them again ($10? yikes) then i'll simply not go there.
