Blockbuster DVD Rentals

I tried out the Blockbuster service for 2 weeks. During these two weeks, I was impressed by the turnaround for my DVDs, although not as much for the selection. It was cheaper than Netflix, at the time too, so I was considering subscribing. As I was about to cancel, I received another offer of one month free, so I accepted. This month has been terrible. I've received only two more movies than my two-week trial with 3 days left. Sor far, I never received 2 movies they sent me, and they have not received one of my movies and I will probably report another DVD in the coming days. Has anyone had any such problems recently?

I think I'll probably get Netflix, as the two-week trial was excellent, although the turnaround was not as fast as BB.

I  Netflix.

I get two day turnaround, meaning I will receive my next movie on Wednesday for the one I mailed back today.

i switched from netflix to BB online. Only thing that is keeping me with BB is that they have special editions like the LOTR EE's unlike Netflix. Netflix will only have the plain vanilla version of the movie.

netflix's turnaround time has been terrible lately. ever since the price drop.

I haven't really noticed a change. Of course the distribution center is here in Birmingham.

blockbuster sucks..but they have some DVDs I want that aren't at netflix. netflix pwns, i pick some DVDs and they're here the next day.

blockbuster seems slow as hell to me. they take 3-4 days to get me a dvd

netflix takes 2 days max usually. the funny thing is both are sending out from the same location.

i'm currently using my free month at blockbuster and will cancel and go back to netflix.

netflix was pretty slow last year in december too. I think it's because the mail is so busy this time of year. As soon as the holidays ended, netflix's service magically became twice as fast

blockbuster is slow for me. and more than once all the movies in my queue had wait periods so nothing was sent to me, but when I added more movies, they still didn't send me new movies till I emailed them and complained.

I think the only "good" think about BB Online is the other "free" stuff you get -- like coupons good towards their stores. I haven't tried NetFlix, though, so I might go read up on their policies.
