I don't think it's a theory. I mean... the story has been said to involve the first war between the Orcs and the Humans, which is what took place during WarCraft: Orcs & Humans.
Not seeing anything on a Diablo 3 expansion...

The link just mentions a patch and they seem to be pushing Diablo 3 to the periphery of the event.

The Diablo III opening-day event is called "Blood and Treasure - New Content and Features for Reaper of Souls". So, it most likely will not be a new expansion, but something like we received in the latest patch. Although, Blizzard could be trying to surprise us!

As I mentioned before, people where reporting recently that the lack of any Diablo info was due to a company imposed embargo on discussing the plans vice them seemingly forgotten the series. Whether it's a freebie or paid, dlc or disc, etc... is to be determined but highly likely something new coming.
Yeah, but who is reporting that? I've been trolling numerous forums and I can't find anything that seems to hint at more than a new patch :-/

mike spoke for about 5 minutes and now doing another starcraft video, cinematic of some sort this time.
looks to be mashup from all three titles.
sounds like they're doing some sort of mini campaign mission packs, imagine as a $$ source via a type of DLC.

medivh tower, stormwind, forest skirmish orc-human, draenor, whole lot more. Want to see it again but first glance through and I'd say orcs looked better than humans, armor seemed slightly off.

Browder on to start talk of heroes.
starts with heroes the arena.
some type of mode expansion.
looks like a main thing is about breaking normal rules as far as team conformity and stuff.
new heroes: greymane (werewolf), lunara (druid centaur), towers of doom map, the arena map/mode, chogall (two headed ogre and requires two players to operate).
and here comes the lulz, chogall given to all person & virtual attendees (and a select few others). for other people, you must partner with someone who has chogall and that will then give that person the hero, can't be bought with moeny or gold.

elf explorer legendary has battelcry shuffle map into your deck.
and for WTF, map card says shuffle map into your deck.
map somehow creates a 4-6-6 golden monkey with taunt that has a bunch of visuals. it blows over your undrawn deck making them all legendary cards.
release date 11/12/2015.

D.VA (starcraft pro player, gets in some mech armor), MEI cold gun and cold abilities), GENJI (ninja, hanzo brother)
talking about how design of game is about switching heroes, expecting this to be about how to $$$$ for game.
talking about base and "origin" edition of game (the $40 and $60 versions).
all the heroes will have skins. also origin edition will have a bunch of digital stuff for the other games.

WoW surprise, here comes the intro cinematic.
king writing, rocking like on a ship, looks at picture of prince, walks out to top of airship deck and a battle is in progress. looks like joined with horde against legion as sylvanas just passed him on another ship. attacking the burning legion stronghold, infernal lands on ship and makes havoc, ship going down, hits water and looks like he's a gonner, but then makes it up to shore and he and sylvanas are fighting the legion and it ends.
