it's not the online that is the problem (i actually prefer this as it prevents hacking of items/characters because everything is done server side).

it is the fact that the game wasn't ready for prime time. the auction house is totally borked. you have an awesome ping if you are sub 300ms. you get errors for doing just about everything in the game. some people the game would crash on because they had a certain type of router, but if they joined general chat, the crashing problem went away (wtf??).

my only complaint is the auction house changes the style of game significantly. instead of grinding for items, you grind for cash to buy the items off the AH - loses some of its luster in hoping to find great items strictly from drops. trading items in the AH is too easy.

eh its south korea, how many times do they raid their own gaming companies offices? online gaming is big, many are f2p games as well. i don't get the outrage, esp when their people have broadband that makes ours look pathetic, and even with our sh*tty broadband we've been playing stuff online for a long time now. steams not perfect, but i've never felt deprived of access to my games because they are online....people make a big deal out of nothing.
