Basically if you post on the official forums after the launch of Starcraft II they will Display your RealID including your first and last name.
 
I fail to see how this is an issue. Why would you be hiding your identity, when you are interacting with people? Seems counterproductive.

Good. Most of the people on Blizzard forums are no life losers just trying to harass others.

The best part about all of this is only like 1% of people will cancel their subscriptions over this. People will continue to play (and pay) for WoW no matter the terms. Until Blizzard stops making the content, people are going to play.

lol exactly. this is such an awesome idea. the forums will become self-regulating because you might get your ass kicked if you piss people off. you can do a lot with a name and pieces of info revealed through posts.

the buildup is here already, its been 20 minutes since i last checked on my phone and the thread on the wow forums went from 70 pages to 105

It doesn't have to be a real name here, but on a blizzard acct, I believe the realid name is the same as your billing info, so whatever name is on the Credit Card that pays the account.

I could be wrong though, I haven't set up or looked at my realid yet.

If this isn't the case, then it really doesn't matter since most will just make up new names for their accounts.
