IIRC, each "realm" is 14 dual xeon racks, and that doesnt include the database server, which is massive.

You sure it's 14 *racks*, that does seem a bit excessive considering that would be 500+ servers, assuming they're using 1U servers...
Would make just the EU servers like 40.000 servers, and the entire world in the 100.000's.

my original numbers were a rough approximation, and i never actually said how much they should be making i just said that at the number i supplied it seems like they are making alot more than they actually need to run the game and make some profit

i personally didnt buy it or pay for it my brother did, i didnt enjoy it and he cancelled his subscription after the pvp honor system patch which ruined the game.. and i dont think its an acceptable value it seems like they could get the job done with $5 or so a month

So Blizzard should charge the smalles fee they can possibly run it on, hence making no profit?
Do you ask your local grocery store to lower their prices to the absolute limit as well?
