Not saying this isn't an April Fools joke, but didn't Blizzard announce a Starcraft RPG (not Starcraft 2) years ago? Or maybe it was a Starcraft FPS.

wtf, dragonwarrior was the best final fantasy game? that's the worst april fool's thing i've ever read.

Does blizzard hate it's customers? I seriously think they do, they've done nothing for the potential starcraft franchise. Maybe they know the task would be too daunting to be able to create a game that would garner as much acclaim that the original starcraft gained. It's funny, some of my most favorite games I've ever played AND owned were games that I played endlessly with their trial versions...

Starcraft--Demo
Age Of Empires--Trial Version
Deus Ex--Demo
seriously can't think of any other games ATM..

They do hate the fans. They postponed production on starcraft ghost. that may be april fools as well.

Also, SC:G was removed from the main page in the "under development" , the Plot thickens!

Officially confirmed on the front page of three major websites. Blizzard is beginning development on World of StarCraft. The info is sketchy at best, but the game is going to be a paradigm shift from previous RPG's. Screenshots

Here's what we know so far
1) There will be no 'stand alone servers' as in World of Warcraft. Each area of the world will have a unique map run by a dedicated server and travel between maps will be possible (think Horde/Alliance in WoW). In otherwords if you want to travel to where the koreans play you can, but you'll be using asian servers. I think this is an amazing idea and truely adds to the massiveness of these games.

2) There will be four races. This confused me at first, but apparently the Xel Nada will be an unlockable race for high level players. I have no idea how they are going to pull this off.

3) The game has just started production. No release dates have been set however Blizzard typically spends 2-3 years on a normal project. One of this size could take longer. Also keep in mind that they probably won't release this until WoW loses profitability.

4) WoW was created using 14 dedicated map designers. WoS is said to be using over 100.

You Lose at April Fools...

Bah, I don't like Blizzard anymore. They are messing up big time on their games. Concentrating too hard on WoW which didn't WoW me at all. They had to delay Ghost again just to rub it in my face. :/

Blizzard changed, nearly the whole team that worked on D2 left, the president left a while back. SC:G wasn't even their production so don't get worked up. All evidence points that they are indeed working on a new game, they just don't want to reveal it.
Blizzard north isn't just sittign on their ass and doing nothing.
