cliky linky

for you turboed fans out there, i've searched all day long for the best price on this unit, and this is what i found. considering a regular analog meter can cost more than this and the free shipping, i would say this is a good deal. all other stores were selling higher price + shipping.

no i am not the store owner of this, and yes i see that they only accept paypal, that's why i am here to ask for some help checking the background of this merchant. any one got any words of caution please feel free to post.

install instruction for a MR2 i found

here is the product link from blitz

err how exaqctly does a dual turbo timer differ from single turbo timer? Its not like you have 2 engines to cool down...

I recommend to just get the standard HKS turbo timer. As a matter of fact, who gives a butt about turbo timers! Lol, but seriously, if you got turbos, it's as easy as driving conservatively for aroudn 30 seconds before turning the engine off (below 2500 rpm's). But hey, can't beat more dials!

i like this one because it has more functions than just timer itself, which i don't really need (my car has its own cooling method after turning off)

i actually stumbled on to this from trying to find a boost gauge that is easy to install, and have max boost memory. granted this one also has other functions too which is definetely a plus. (specified boost reached warning)

for people that play with turbos, you all should know the importance of monitoring your boost pressure at all time.

I guess this is a decent price if you haven't already gotten a boost gauge... but honestly, that's one of the first things most people buy.
If it wasn't for the peak/hold feature on the dual function Blitz... there's no justification to have boost pressure shown on your timer. It's just too hard to read for tuning purposes. And heck, it's harder as well since it's not a needle gauge to tell when you're getting boost spikes without looking down (dangerous!) while driving. $125 is a decent price... it pretty much the going low market price for one of these units though... nothing special... Evolution Motorsports has it for the same damn price with free shipping as well but they accept credit card payments.

This is a tepid deal at best... I'll take my analog gauge over using this as my boost gauge anyday. Heck, I can even upgrade to a Greddy/Blitz/HK$ electronic gauge later on if I really want digital playback. And as for ease of installation? If you have trouble installing a boost gauge... you probably have trouble changing your oil...

isn't the Greddy one like $90 regular price? Of course it doesn't have the guage features...

My roommate has the old dual and the old Blitz electronic boost controller of the same year. The measurments on them are like always off by like .01 bar all the time and it totally pisses him off lol
