Blinking Power Light in Stand By Mode! Turn it off!

I am running a MCE machine for my home theater. At night when I shut down the computer to standby to reduce the noise when its not in use - it shuts down fine but the light on the front blinks. I know this is may seem like a little thing but when your watching TV in the room in the dark the blue LED blinks and can drive you INSANE!? I tried some google searches for standby hacks but didnt find anything. Anyone know a registry hack or something to stop the light from blinking or any ideas for alternative solution?

Eh.... I doubt it. Your talking about the basic simple operation of the mobo, the ON/STBY light. Every computer, or other type of electronics for that matter, I've ever seen does the same sort of thing. I really highly doubt you are ever gonna find anything to turn it off. It most certainly wouldn't be something in the registry as it has nothing to do with the OS. Most likely it is an LED attached to the mobo by a set of wires, mine is. If you felt like getting a little savy, you could install a tiny swith spliced in between for when its dark watchin TV. Course, for that matter, you got a 8x10 picture you could slide in front of it in those cases?

well, it will obviously be mobo specific but mine gives me LED options for Sleep/Standby modes
