I have that song on my computer, and I play it daily, and I always sing along with it, and make sure to emphasize "wrapped up like a douche", regardless of what the actual lyrics are supposed to be.

It just sounds like it.

I believe it's wrapped up like a deuce. Another roller in the night. But it sure as hell sounds like douche.

Yea, that's what I always hear too. I know what the real lyrics are, but it just sounds like "douche." That's how I sing it. :D

That and "Excuse me while I kiss this guy." :D

For years I thought the verse to CCR's Bad Moon Rising was "The bathrooms on the right" instead of the correct verse "There's a bad moon on the rise"

It is "Wrapped up like a douche" when done by Manfred Mann. But it was originally wrote by Bruce Springsteen who wrote it as "Wrapped up like a deuce" as in deuce coupe.

Another part from the same song...

"And little early burly gave my anus curly wurly, and asked me if I needed a ride."

Listening to it now. I'm sorry but Manford says some weird sh!t.

My friend used to think the part in Better than Ezra - Good that went

"livin? with you (wahow) It was good"

was actually

"livin' with your ma-om...super stud"

You might want to listen again, it's "revved up like a deuce".

Springsteen's version is "cut loose like a deuce."

My cousin had a couple of these going strong when he was little.

1 - "I've got my mind set on you" - "I got my mom sat on you"

2 - "Every time you go away, you take a piece of me with you" - "... take a piece of meat with you"

Okay, if it is indeed supposed to be "deuce", then someone needs to teach Manfred how to pronounce "deuce" correctly.

"doos" not "dewsh"

I always heard Springsteen's "I'm on fire" as "Elmer Fudd"
You know, he goes "ooo, ooo, ooo, Elmer Fudd"
It never made any sense to me, until a couple years ago I found out the actual lyrics.
