So I have an online dating account, and got an odd message from this 51 year old woman in the relationships section. (most people my age are in the dating section)
Date: Mar 05 at 11:42 AM EST
Subject: this isn't for me - please read message
Hi,

Don't hit the delete button...you're probably wondering why someone your mother's age is sending you a message. I was searching "local men online" when I came across your profile...no I don't usually check out 23 year old men, but noticed you're from Chatham. I have a single co-worker the same age and I thought she might be interested in your profile. She said she is and wondered if you would like her msn address. She has blonde hair and blue eyes...need I say more. She also come highly recommended...by me of course.

If you are interested or would like any further information, let me know. If not, then have a great day and good luck with your search.

Deb
So go for it or not?
So random and sketchy, yet intriguing...

How is it different from say, the 53 year old contacting you? Its still a "blind" date regardless isnt it?

Nah.
You at least have a profile and a picture to critique :)

She has blonde hair and blue eyes...need I say more.

Tell her yes, as the phrase "need I say more" implies the possibility of the response: "I would like more." Of course, there is also the knowledge of the phrase "need I say more" being a question, itself, and her use of a period is simply an err, as the punctuation mark should, clearly, be a question mark.

If you bring this issue up to her, it is likely that your alertness, a quality arguably found prominent in many alpha males for survival needs, will impress her greatly, securing a potential position with a future mate. Further, with her being enlightened to your dominance as an alpha male, she will then be less surprised if you decide not to pursue your mark should your request of more information yield less than desirable aspects of the situation in which you find yourself.

Could be a scam of some sort, or it could be real. I got a bunch of these strange messages when I had a public profile up. I'm not exactly sure how they actually scam you but I got numerous messages from girls in russia.

if it sounds too good to be true. . .

i'd be wary, but like it's been said, an email won't hurt anything AND you can get pics eventually too before you decide to go any further.

substitute the "she" with "it", "blonde hair" with "V6" and "blue eyes" with "all wheel drive" in "She has blonde hair and blue eyes...need I say more." and you got yourself a car ad. scam.
