I had a $19.95 a month for the Elite for one year and it ran out!
The price went to $45.00 I called 800-288-2020 and told them if I couldn't get
a better price I would just cancel then. I was sent over to the retention dept.
they offered me $29.95 a month for one year with a one year contract.
I could have got u-verse 12mb for $34.95 + $4.00 (rental) for a year with a 12 month contract and $149.95 installation.



This one-time offer from your retention dept isn't a hot deal

I respectfully disagree. It's not that the deal doesn't interest me; it's that it was a one-time compensation that the OP received as an existing customer who complained about the cost of renewal.

It would be similar to me posting "free or discounted meal at such-and-such restaurant", then instructing everyone to go to said restaurant, complain about the food, service, and/or prices, and then hope that their meal gets comped. I don't think that sort of thing is the purpose of the "Hot Deals" forum.

I don't know...perhaps I'm in the minority here. Maybe I'm wrong.
