do food retain their nutrient when blended/ground in a blender? we recently purchased a blender and i've been blending all sorts of fruit/vegetable concoctions. am i still getting all the nutrients and vitamins from a carrot that's been creamed in a blender? i know that cooking vegetables can rob them of their nutrients....

edit: also, does anyone have good recipes to share? :)

my recent favorite has been frozen strawberries, bananas, carrots, spinach, and soy milk.

I wouldn't think so. That's like asking if a carrot loosed all of it's nutritional value if your cut it up. It's all still there.

That's the same as it losing its nutrients if it's all chewed up. Either way, it's getting to your stomach completely smashed up. It just depends if it's your teeth or a metal blade doing it.
