hehe finally another anime thread... here is my take on october newcomers

(1)School Rumble - this is something i have been missing for a while... great drawing and charas with complete CV, outrageous sense of humor with occasional touchy moments. when are they coming out with the dvds? 😀
(2)Gunbuster 2 - one word : wow! looks like this show is out to prove something. this is a gainax 20 year annivesary project for after all...
(3)Tactics - another very solid show.. i just hope it doesnt turn into another BL show (not that i didnt like KKM )
(4)Uta-kata - this one really caught me by a surprise! with the anime coming from the same director of Kiddy Grade, I didnt really have any expectations whatsoever; now that i have seen the first eps... i really like it, a close call between this and tactics
(5)Futakoi - no surprises here, easy going and good drawing, likeable charas.
(6)Rozen Maiden - for some reason, i found OP kinda funny sinku's condescending attitude and mini slap is amusing to say the least...
(7)Tsukuyomi - NEKOMIMI MODO~~ nuff said 🙂 the eerie atmosphere blends well with supe kawaii bishoujo... ganbare hazuki!
(8)Final Approach - rizelmine rehash, but throws in a bunch of SD scenes and nutsy humor to it... so far so good
(9)Kakyusei2 - really nice drawing, but other than that not much is shown in the first episode.. wish i had played the game
(10)Kannazuki no Miko - i posted on this earlier.. no idea what they had on their minds with the battle scenes, lets hope somehow it recovers in the next episode (which i doubt for some reason)
(11) To Heart RMM - has a completely different drawing and style from the first series... the drawing is very much like the original game, the atmosphere has a more 'light' feel to it.. i preffered the first seris overall. akari and multi are likely to be two heroines here...
(12)Mai Hime - i know people are gonna be all over it, but the drawing style and charas dont do it for me 🙁

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha - with all respect due, you would have to be a loli maniac to watch this show unless you are <13yrs old >.<
Ryusei Sentai Musumet - i was just hoping it isnt what i expected... its overwhelmingly annoying to be considered enjoyable..
W ~Wish~ - this one was a major letdown. i was expecting something along the line of wind/hanihani from princess hour, but i just cant bring myself to watch this any more...
Viewtiful Joe - i cant imagine anyong enjoying this show unless he/she liked the game or is a huge fan of seki tomokazu.
Bleach! - yet another shounen series :| insolent brat as the main guy = major turnoff. didnt like the drawing style, humor left the house already

my prediction of what is going to popular in the states
Bleach! - people here like naruto and stuff 😱 FIY, the director is a friend of naruto director if that means anything..
Mai Hime - an eagerly anticipated series from sunrise...
Tsukuyomi - bishoujo + supernatural powers and fighting = winnah (not for me )
School Rumble (I hope) - this show is just SOOOO good, i dont see how could anyone possibly not like it
 
just outta curiousity... on average, how fast do you download from bittorent? from my limited experience, dc++ clients usually give better download rate without hogging the upload bandwidth.
 
well that set a new record for me at 325l/s
but the more popular ones Like Naruto, Champloo all download through BT at over 120k/s
 
what are you on, cable? i am on comcast and dc++ download rates are extremely poor hovering at around 1-15k/s threshold 🙁 dc++ usually goes about 50k/s+, direct downloads at about 200k/s-300k/s.

EDIT : oh yeah, watch school rumble, its AWEEEESOME 😀

yes im on cable 3.0/384 line max down is about 375k/s

 
got it off the school DC this morning and it's pretty good. Gave me a good laugh when he kicked the Death God or whatever a Kick to the back when she thought he couldn't see or touch her.

just wanted to bump an old thread to show love for Bleach.

its a good anime and the intro song is one of the few that i really like.

Heh Naruto is far past that at over 240 now, and I'm pretty sure Berserk is much longer than 146 chapters.
 
In North America, Initial D is going to be very, VERY popular. Maybe it'll get ricers out of the mind set that adding stupid crap to a stock car is going to make it faster, and instead they'll LEARN HOW TO DRIVE.

I also like how Takumi (Main character) doesn't drive a high-powered car. I mean, he AE-86 Trueno (Corolla), even though it has that wierd-ass TRD engine, only puts out like 250 horses. And Itsuki has a car with a SOHC engine, yet he had it turbocharged to 150.

Except for the Takahashi bros. RX7's, and the Skyline, every other car is readily available in north america. EK9 (Civic TypeR), Mitsu Lancer Evos, Subaru WRX STi, Mazda Miata, S14 (Nissan 240SX), etc.

Which may be deceptive. Isn't naruto still published in very small chunks in a regular publication? I perused the first 6 collected volumes at B&amp;N and it only went up to about episode 20 or so.
