Set mine up for instore pickup at the OD in downtown Bellevue, WA yesterday afternoon. I just barely made it, because the manager had to grab them out of the lockup area. He told me they had the spindles waiting at the customer service counter for me to pick up and several customers tried to buy them out from under me. Glad I opted for securing them via the website rather than trying my luck in the Labor Day crowds. $29 for almost 141 GB of storage space. Thanks for the 411, lordkiwi.

Those CMC made -R blanks are not very good quality but the Ricoh made +R blanks are top shelf. YMMV but that is the consensus on the dvdrhelp.com forums.

This is only 2x media, correct?

Price still shows $33.99, was the $29.23 just a Labor Day Special?

PS: $5.00 off would be $28.99, wouldn't it? :)

You'd better edit your message to delete that code:

I added 4 units to my cart

The coupon is only removing the price of one not two.

Am I doing something wrong?

The buy 1 get 1 free is valid for only 1 free +r and 1 free -r. If you buy 4 +r spindles, you only get 1 free, not 2. However, if you buy 2 +r and 2 -r, you get 1 +r and 1 -r free. Get it? :)

Called Ofiice depot customer service, they credited $18.96 back to my card from Thursday's Purchase, that makes 30 DVD-R and 30 DVD+R for $37.69 or $0.62 per DVD after taxes! :)

Thanks again for the heads up!!

The same thing has happened to me: Verbatim® DataLifePlus DVD-R Media Spindle, 4.7GB, Pack Of 15 Item Number: 449-659 Units: PK Our Price: 33.99 Order Qty: 2 Backorder Qty: 2 Shipped Qty: 0 Cost: 67.98 Subtotal: $0.00 Taxes: $0.00 Coupon: $0.00 $0.00 Total: $0.00

Don't worry about it. When they ship it to you and don't take off the coupon, call and tell them that you had coupons applied to the order, and they will say they can't help you. Then tell them that you don't want the items anymore and they have to come and get them. They will tell you that returning them is your own responsibility. Then...you tell them that you'll just dispute the charges with your credit card company and keep the products, they will start cooperating. That's how I always do it when I order out of stock things from OD. If they still refuse to help you, take it up the ladder. First sign of lip, I ask for a manger. Key is to be nice, and never be a dick. If you're nice, they'll bend over backwards and lick their own butts for you!

Thanks for replying to me.

But I cancelled the order. I'm really not in the mood anymore for playing these games.

YMMV But yesterday I orderd 2 and 2 from my local Office Depot and when I arived to pick them up they only had one +R (I knew anyway since scoped the store out earlier and showed them the stack they didnt think they had.) I was prepaired to except 3 -R's but instead I let them look over the store for more +R's untill they asked if I wanted to change my order. I said no. I already paied for them. Then they offred me an exchange. first they offerd me a 15 pack of philips. I told them the virbatim where rated at 4x and the philips 2.4x sono go. they they tried offering me a 25 pack of verbatim disk. same situation. the 25 pack where 2.4x I ended up geting a 25 pack of Memorex 4x disk. Good Deal yea or nea anyone know what the quality of the Philips or virbatium 2.4x disk or the memorex 4x disk?

YMMV after picking up my two sets 2 - and 2+ I asked them to exchange the 4 - stacks for 4 + stacks and they said ok, but next time change the order online first...

I think the deal this week is for the 4x 25 count spindle (both + and - R) for $44 using the B1G1 free coupon and a $15 coupon....

reg price is $59 per spindle - $15 coupon = $44 plus tax...
