BLAZING? Oregon Fry's Combo: FIC AN11 + XP1900 = $115??

If this is true, and the FIC doesn't have any hideous flaws, this is hotter than.. hotter than... umm.. hotter than something really hot! (my duron when the heatsink wasnt seated properly?)

I'm goin to check it out now, I looked up the board, its a KT266, standard fare.. I'll post back when I get back from fry's..

Oh BTW, its the Wilsonville location (20 minutes south of portland)

Actually Fry's is planning on putting a store up here.. It very well could be that location.. I almost got a job there (thats how I know they're expanding) but they wanted a drug test that day I hope so, I live like 10 blocks from 82nd on division

Crt4, did you find out if this is true? If so, this is a hot deal. The same combo was selling for $199 at Fry's Bay Area just two weeks ago.

The FIC AN11 board uses the KT266A chipset and has on board Promise RAID. Pretty good board IMHO.

yeah that board is pretty decent, i got the xp1700 combo a couple months back for $129. no probs with the board. i'll check frys in manhattan beach and see if this xp1900 combo is legit.

Heh, he was wrong.. My friend called and they said $150 for an FIC AD11.. It uses the sis chipset, not a very nice board.. Heh, sorry everyone, it was my first attempt at a hot deal, it was a bummer ;[ On the other hand, he got a Duron 1.2 ghz + an Epox 8kha+ for $168.. A very good deal IMO.. (Duron was retail) They also had a range of other very decent deals.. You rarely go to fry's when they don't have something great priced, horrendously tempting deal I've learned to leave any credit cards/cash in the car before I go in.. (but even then I keep thinking "well.. i have $50 in the car, so... i could get this or this or oooooh that" heh.. i'm best off leaving the money at home.. but even then... you get the point

my parents asked them this when they visited the Austin Fry's last week, and apparently they are intending to open stores in Florida at some point in the relatively near future, they have own some property or whatnot, but i cant tell you where or when, just that IT WILL HAPPEN eventually... thank god!! we need it here!

They're supposed to be putting in a Fry's over in delta park, hopefully this year! I'm so excited.....It's supposed to be bigger than Wilsonville.

Nice. I like how I-5 North has a commuters lane, it's sooooo much faster than the regular lanes of traffic (assuming my wife or a friend is with me). I actually wouldn't mind a Fry's in Wilsonville, it isn't a "short" drive but it is near Jantzen Beach (Staples, CompUSA, Office Depot, Target, etc.) rather than being in the middle of BFE.
