and ive used these drives b4 if you are just using the HD without slaving anything to it
there should be no jumpers in them
if you slave another HD to it the jumper should be in the middle

I just received my Order Confirmation. I ordered the drive late Sunday night and it is "In Production" now and scheduled to ship on April 25. Hopefully there will not be any delays.

Just checked my email for the first time in a few hours and got my order acknowledgement AND order confirmation at virtually the same time. Dunno why they didn't send me something when I actually ordered it, but there you go. 25th is the date in the email, checked on the website with the number they gave me and it claims 26th. We shall see.

Ordered mine Saturday AM, got the confirmation right away. Mine says shipped as of today. Woo-hoo!

Great deal if it's a 120 Gig/2m. Scorching if it's a 120 Gig/8m! I'm happy either way...

Don't put too much stock in the confirmation notices. I never ever got one on the last hard drive I ordered from Dell. I thought it had been cancelled. Then one day an invoice shows up in my mail, and the hard drive shows up the next day...

I wonder if its faster than ata 133 speed drives?? Its only rated at ata 100 ,though it does have the 8mb buffer we all hope.

This will not work. You have to apply them for yourself. You can jump on this deal, get some techb@rgains, or open that phatwallet to find the coupon codes.

BTW Mine was shipped 4/22 great deal

It is. If you go to Storage Review, click on DATABASE (top middle), then click on sort, you can compare this drive to lots of other drives(select the drives and click on Head to Head). Even the 1200BB owns most other drives(desktop performance).

I don't think it's a stretch to say this is the (one of the?) fastest IDE drive on the planet right now. ATA100/133 etc. are all marketing scams really, these drive's burst speeds don't approach 100/133 mbyte/sec.

Sorry but you dont seem to understand that there is no identification (model#/mfg#) that matches the deal that involved the thread you posted... so you cant say this is the same deal as you have no concrete evidence of that as of yet... unless of course you ordered this particular "Dell" drive and did receive the JB model.

Hence I am raising the question.
