Blazing Hot!! 120G Dell Hard disk, 142 shipped!(seems like WD120JB)

first post, don't flame! I have posted this deal on F*twall*t about 1 hour ago,
and the people there does not seem to be excited.

Here is the detail:
-------------------
search Dell Part# 340-3277, (sorry I don't know how to do the link).

Hard Drive; 120GB Ultra ATA/100, 7200RPM, for Dell Dimension
Spec showed 8mb cache!! Has to be WD120JB, if 8mb indeed.

Final cost:

$169.00
-10%
-10 stackable
free shipping
-------------------
142 shipped!!

As someone point out: 2% extra back through Ebates.🙂)
so:

Final cost: $139

Must be a pricing error. Let's see how long the AT effect will kill the deal !!

I ordered it. Who cares if it's JB (which, according to the specs that show an 8 meg buffer, it IS)? A 120 gig 7200rpm drive for $142 is a steal.

Now if this is correct, it is the 8mb cache version. If not, you can always send it back (or take it to e*ay and make a few bones).

Just to rehash, ANY 120 Gig drive shipped for $142.10 is a good deal. I just ordered mine! It's a great price, and - if it is the 8 MB version, well icing on the cake!

jalapenonc, nice find! Thanks for the heads up, I've been waiting for a deal like this to come up for a month now, looks like today is the day! This will be an awesome backup drive, and well if it's really the 8 MB version, it may just become my main drive! I'm excited...

HOT DEAL!! I'm all over it...glad I didn't bite on all the other deals on this drive. I hope it works out. Thanks for the post!!

From old thread, it seems some got drives with no WD warranty some got 3 yr warranties. And then there is the 1 year Dell Warranty.

hmmm.. Any updates?

UofI -

2000 posts and never ordered from Dell? You are a far stronger person than me!
I've never had to return anything to Dell, but I bet it's easier than any other web retailer.
The only reason I might return this drive is if the cache is not 8MB.

If you buy this and something else for $80, you can use $25 off coupon instead of $10 off for additional savings. And, of course, there is always Ebatesfor another 2% off. Good luck!

Remember, this hard drive will have only 1-year warranty through Dell if something goes wrong with it.

i need $19 to bring it above $250 .. there is this Floppy drive that dell says "is designed to work on all Dell Optiplex GX400 systems" link

Will it work ONLY on those systems, I can use it on my Antec also?

if you tell me if that floppy will work, the I can get the flppy the hard drive, Linksys Ethernet and the Lite-on for $214.40 (and that includes $14 tax of my state)

Will that Floppy works though? Or should i find another $19 item?
