<< Get REAL people. If you owned dell, or are a large shareholder of dell, would you like them losing money?!? >>

Ok. Listen buddy. Before you say anything about dell losing money you need to do your research first. It always makes me soooooooo mad with people do not understand business.

1. Dell makes 85-90% of their business off of schools, city departments, large organizations, ect contracts. These large contracts include service and equipment and generate most all revenue for the business.

2. When dell so called "Screws up" and has a wrong or lowered price, that promotes the website in ways that most do not see. The middle management may be flipping out about how to handle the screw up to save there 50,000 dollar a year asses, but upper management is loving life as the name is spread around the internet like the plaque. When most people get their orders and dell loses a few dollars(say .001 percent of sales the entire year), they are still winners with the free advertisment. Word of mouth is numero uno in advertising.

3. Dell is THE most profitable company on the internet in terms of computer sales. Why is this u ask. When dell advertises a price that is lower then the competitors you automatically thing, DAMN this is a GREAT deal. Dell is thinking, DAMN we really did well in getting this price to where its at. Dell makes its money through a distribution system that is near flawless. They are so techincal and percise in their business forecasting that when the offer a lower price to the public, they still make more money then their competitors. Why do u think that walmart and target are so successful. Pick up a book on distribution of the two stores, or any other successful in the mid-late 90's.

Just check my order details from Dell's website, it says "120GB 7200 RPM ULTRA ATA HD,DIM43/82,CUS" is this the one with 8M cache? For those who already received the JB version one, Can you tell me what your order description look like?

My model description is:
120GB 7200 RPM ULTRA ATA HD,DIM43/82,CUS

I haven't received mine yet. It is still in "production".

For everyone that ordered this drive (when it was the 340-3277), here is a thread on Dell's support forum, Dell employee Stephen (no, not THAT Stephen) confirming the drive model as a WD1200JB:

Is this Hard Drive the same one as the Western Digital 1200JB version. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...=search.asp&icompatid=&instock=0&refurbished=

Manufacturer Part# 2K933
Dell Part# 340-3277

Any input will be appreciated.

To click or not to click?

Ok, here it is. I ordered one last Friday, typed in my CC#, hit "submit" but did not finalize the order. Guess what--today I am still looking at this window and thinking "to click or not to click..."
I don't really need this drive and I am 99.9% sure dell destroyed my shopping cart. But still I just can't close this window and forget about whole thing. Goddamit! It drives me crazy :|

Here's what to do: get a lawyer and a Uninterruptable Power Supply.

Drive to the lawyer's office with the computer still showing that very screen. Send in the order with him or her right there so you can fight Dell in court if they don't send your HD for what is listed. BINGO! 🙂

OK, OK, OK. I got it. You're going to need a lawyer, a UPS, a quart tub of peanut butter, 3 geese, a spool of CAT5, a hangglider, and a large farm animal (no goats!). Let me know when you get them all together and I'll tell you what to do next.

You forgot to mention "a can of vaseline and 1000 condoms" 😀

No, it's not the case--the problem is that this damn window has some magic power over me. I can't close it! I don't need this freaking HD, yet I almost ordered it! I don't want to click it 'cause don't want to order it, yet I can't kill it.
I ordered way too much stuff from "Hot Deals" foruml lately. Have more than $400 in rebates outstanding...

I. MUST. RESIST.
